Positive attitude takes you a long way in this rather depressed world. Going too far with positivity and you're layering icing on a big mud cake topped with skyscraper thrones for the kings that run said mud cake. I know people who do this. They act like everything is just peachy clean on the surface, but after one shovel worth of digging (or one too many beers) you are comforting a crying mess of unattended emotions.

That's why the RIGHT amount of optimism tangling legs with awareness is important. We can not let them take our joy. It's our greatest form of rebellion, to get comfortable in their world is to surrender. Humans should always strive for better, while enjoying life in the process. To ignore growth is illegal.

Low Value Human Resource

One person can make a difference, put 8 billion on a planet and we become a number. Everyone on this planet is shooting to make their numbers larger, whether it be polls, cash, or followers. The owner of Westjet must thoroughly think out every action the company takes. One decision will bring in a percentage of profit, while losing customers. How far can they push us into being given the absolute bare minimum in comfort on an airplane? How far until the price doesn't match the product? Will it be more profitable to feed Ai algorithms than to feed humans?

Valuing Humans

It's natural to feel depressed and overwhelmed by the amount "they" have taken from the working class. Especially looking at line graphs from the last century. However, I believe the remedy is to remember the luxuries we still have power over. The other side of the coin. Westjet cramming us all into a plane does make it cheaper. Staying at an Airbnb may cost more than a hotel twenty years ago, but I find the service often satisfies rather than leaving me hollow.

"Call it!"

You have to be 50/50. You have to be aware shit could be better, and believe that it will.

I am so convinced the end of the world will be in my generation. What am I gonna do about it?

I don't know.. yet. One this is for sure, the solution is not to numb yourself with their cheap pleasures.

DO NOT CONFUSE PLEASURE (or wealth) WITH HAPPINESS.

I wonder if the world has always been this way. We're workers, and they're owners. Once it was commonfolk and royalty. Before that slaves and masters. To keep the former subdued and have the latter's numbers climb has always been the goal. Unless I'm completely unaware of true evil, I'd like to believe that there is still just as much yang as there is ying. I believe the world has always had the same problems, the change is how fast our world is. Are we tripping over ourself?
